Nominations are open!
5 September marks the beginning of the nomination period for the Hertfordshire Building Futures Awards 2011.
Developers, architects, local authorities, NGOs and homeowners with a flair for innovation, creativity and groundbreaking design, are being called upon to put themselves forward for the biennial Awards which recognise excellence in building projects.
Entries for the Awards can be submitted from 5 September, by anyone who wants to acknowledge and reward sustainable development in Hertfordshire. So if you are a builder with an ingenious way of reusing precious building materials, or a local organisation with a thirst for water conservation, you can enter for this year’s awards.
Any development completed between 16 September 2009 and 16 September 2011 is eligible for entry, no matter how big or small, from individual buildings to large scale developments in the public or private sectors, and candidates may be either self-nominated or nominated by a third party.
This website will tell you more about the Awards and, most importantly, how you can nominate a scheme. We have attempted to make the Awards simple to enter – you will notice that one application form can be submitted for as many categories as you like.

And remember, nominations close on 14 October at 5pm.
