Advice for landowners
Would you like to plant a new hedge or restore one that has been neglected? Perhaps you have a pond that has become overgrown and full of silt?
The Countryside Management Service offers FREE advice to landowners and communities to assist with habitat management, restoration and re-creation. The organisations and people we engage with can range from a community group or parish council to a farmer or landowner.
How CMS can help you
Our services include:
- Advice and help for farmers and landowners on how to care for sites of conservation and landscape importance through Environmental Stewardship.
- Help with funding for landscape improvement and conservation work, from schemes such as national agri-environment schemes, woodland grant schemes, and the Landfill Communities Fund.
- Sharing skills and resources with volunteer and local action groups to help carry out local countryside management projects. Helping them to develop plans and actions which reflect the needs of the local environment and people.
