Post Wood, Ware
Post Wood (also known locally as Presdales Wood) is an ancient woodland. In spring, a rich carpet of bluebells can be found here, as well as a wonderful display of pinky-white anemones in the open glade. The woodland birds found here include nuthatch, treecreeper and greater spotted woodpecker that feed on insects living on the tree trunks.
