Abbey Flyer Walks
The Abbey Flyer Walks are a series of short circular walks from stations on the Abbey Flyer line that runs between St Albans and Watford Junction.
Verulamium, St Albans
Verulamium Park is 100 acres of beautiful parkland on the site of Roman Verulamium, an area steeped in history. The city walls and outline of the old Roman city gate can still be seen.
This walk takes you alongside River Ver chalk stream and around the lake, with plenty of opportunities to stop off along the way to discover more about this historic site.

Bricket Wood Common
This leaflet features two walks of varying length around Bricket Wood Common. This site is made up of areas of ancient semi-natural woodland and heathland, providing a range of habitats for insects and wildlife. The second route guides the walker alongside the River Ver, a rare chalk stream.
